BME 370: Intro to Bioinformatics & Biostatistics, Spring

This course introduces upper-level undergraduate students to the principles of bioinformatics analysis applied to translational studies. Application topics include genomic data analysis, biomarker development, statistical modeling, supervised and unsupervised machine learning, and clinical trial design. The goal of the course is to give students opportunity to gain familiarity with the bioinformatics and biostatistics techniques currently employed in biomedical research, and to facilitate better understanding of the computational aspects of published translational biomedical studies.
